Welcome to what is essentially my digital library laboratory! This site has been used for a number of my classes through the School of Library & Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently this space is being utilized for assignments for LIS879 Digital Libraries, Spring Semester 2013.

The collection on display are personal family photos from my maternal grandmother, Ruth E. Consylman (née Becker), taken primarily in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the late 1930s, when she was approximately 21-23 years old.  My grandmother has an extensive collection of personal photos of family and friends, many of the ones from her 20s and 30s were taken with her Six-16 Browne Junior camera.  I have been slowing digitizing the entire collection, posted here are just a few examples.
